Sports and Talent Promotion

Sports and Talent Promotion

Unlocking Talent. Creating Opportunity.

Sports and Talent Promotion is Sky Muasya’s plan to identify, nurture and support talented young people across Kathiani, turning their talents into careers, income and opportunities.

Sky Muasya believes talent is a gift, but without support it can easily be lost. Every ward has gifted footballers, athletes, musicians, artists and other creatives who deserve the chance to succeed.

His plan focuses on creating opportunities for young people to develop and showcase their talents.

Sports Development

Support community sports by improving playing fields, organizing regular competitions and creating pathways for talented athletes to progress.

Talent Identification

Identify and nurture talented footballers, athletes, musicians, dancers, artists and other creatives from every ward.

Training and Exposure

Create opportunities for coaching, mentorship, talent development programmes and participation in regional and national competitions.

Partnerships

Work with sports federations, clubs, educational institutions and private organizations to expand opportunities for talented youth.

Youth Empowerment

Use sports and talent as a tool to create employment, promote discipline, reduce drug abuse and inspire positive community leadership.

Sky Muasya believes that the NGCDF provision for sports and talent development should be fully utilized to invest in the potential of our young people and give them the opportunities they deserve.

Sky Muasya’s vision is simple:

Every young person with talent deserves the opportunity to succeed.

By investing in sports and talent today, Kathiani will produce future athletes, musicians, entertainers and role models while creating new opportunities for employment and economic growth.

The Real Challenge

  • Kathiani has many talented young people in football, athletics, music, creative arts and other talents.
  • Yet for years sports infrastructure remained weak, talent development lacked support and youth exposure opportunities remained limited.
  • Since the promulgation of the Kenya 2010 Constitution and the birth of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund Act, 2015, very little structured investment has gone into sports and talent promotion in Kathiani.
  • Talent without support remains wasted potential.

Our Approach

  • Under the National Government Constituencies Development Fund Act, 2015, 2 percent of annual allocation is provided for sports activities.
  • We will ensure the full allocation is used every year for sports development, talent identification, youth empowerment and community competitions.

Our Plan

  • Organize ward based leagues.
  • Support local tournaments.
  • Provide sports equipment.
  • Support talent exposure programs.
  • Promote arts and creative talent.
  • Support youth participation in competitions.

Why This Matters

  • Creates opportunities for youth.
  • Builds careers.
  • Reduces drug abuse and idleness.
  • Strengthens community unity.
  • Promotes discipline and teamwork.
  • Talent can become employment and opportunity.

Manifesto Message
