School Based Water Security is Sky Muasya’s long term solution to water shortages in Kathiani. The plan is to drill solar powered boreholes in schools to provide safe, reliable and sustainable water for both learners and the surrounding community.

Sky Muasya believes every school should have a dependable source of clean water because learning should never be interrupted by water shortages.

His plan focuses on five key priorities:

Reliable Water for Schools

Every school should have clean water for drinking, cooking, cleaning and sanitation without depending on water carried by students.

Supporting Learners

Many children spend valuable time fetching water for their homes and schools. School boreholes will reduce this burden and allow learners to focus on their education.

Water for the Community

Each borehole will include public water points constructed outside the school compound, allowing the surrounding community to access clean water without disrupting learning.

Safe and Sustainable Water

Solar powered boreholes will provide a reliable and affordable water supply while schools offer secure locations to protect the infrastructure from vandalism.

Fair Distribution Across Kathiani

Because schools are spread throughout the constituency, this approach will ensure water projects are distributed fairly so that every ward and every community benefits.
